Here’s our top 6 reasons for going to the 2015 Piedmont Earth Day Fair:
It’s Free.

This needs no explanation.
But if you need more encouragement…? All of the proceeds from the Beer Garden will support the Piedmont Environment Alliance’s ongoing programs and services. So drink up!
Free tune-up for your bikes.
Steve Hollingsworth from Green Door WheelWorks will be at the fair performing free tune-ups. You’ll want to get there early for that.
We are going!
BeersNGears will be leading two different bike rides to the Earth Day Fair and we will be providing complimentary bike valet parking.
Jake will be leading a ride from Washington Perk on Acadia Ave at 9AM and gets to the fair by going through WSSU and using one of Winston-Salem’s best greenways, the Brushy Creek Greenway. It’s a fairly challenging route but it’s only 8.6 miles so you’ll have plenty of energy left when you get to the fair.
The other ride will be led by Nick and leave from Whitaker Square Shopping Center on Peace Haven Rd. at the same time (9AM) and make it’s way to the fair through Wake Forest, Reynolda Village and the one and only, Graylyn Estate. This ride is planned to be 7.0 miles at a very easy pace so that all are welcome to ride. We’re encouraging the whole family to join us on this one. Nick said you will be able to find him sitting at the Bagel Station enjoying a coffee and bagel pre-ride.
We are not leading any official rides back. So you’ll want to plan your route back home in advance.
When you get to the Earth Day Fair, let us watch your bike in a secured, bike parking area. You’ll get a reusable ID card to hold onto while you’re enjoying the fair and all you have to do is hand it back to us when you’re ready to leave and we will go grab your bike.
